Anna Brunton - Director of Star Steppers
Anna trained as a professional dancer at Elmhurst Ballet School and Millennium Dance 2000. During her training Anna performed in works by Kate Flatt, Raphael Bonachela and Robert Scott.
After graduating Anna performed with Verticil Productions and Wasted Grace Dance Co. Anna knew that she wanted to share her love and passion for dance and performing arts and give others the opportunity to learn and experience the joys of dance, drama and singing too. So set up Star Steppers Performing Arts and Step into Education.
Anna has taught at Stage Coach and as the choreographer of Osmosis and Decide to Dance youth dance companies.
Anna has worked with Surrey Arts and as the Dance Development Officer for Tandridge Leisure. Anna was both Head of Performing Arts at Danes Hill Pre Prep and Head of Drama at Danes Hill School, writing, producing and choreographing a number of productions.
Anna has worked with a number of Primary and Secondary Schools developing, writing and delivering their infrastructure for dance and is dedicated to promoting dance as a tool for education.
Anna graduated with BA (Hons) in Dance Teaching for Children and Young People and has achieved QTLS (Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills) through the Institute for Learning.

Anna teaches at Cheam, Reigate, Horley and Cobham Star Steppers classes.

Hannah Everitt - Director of Star Steppers
Hannah trained at Arts Educational, London. Graduating with a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre.
Her acting credits include Young Cosette in Les Miserables (Palace Theatre) Young Cratchit in A Christmas Carol (Barbican), title role in Rosie Blitz (Polka Theatre, Wimbledon), voice-over for a Road Safety Campaign ‘Don’t Look Now’, Dorothy in Wizard Of Oz (Secombe Theatre), Sonia in Godspell (The Theatre, Leatherhead), Ensemble in Sondheim’s 75th Birthday Gala (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane), Tommy the Cat in Dick Whittington (Nottingham Playhouse), Young Wendy in Sister Wendy The Musical (Hackney Empire) and eight parts in the Strangeface production of A Christmas Carol (Tour).
At the age of 20 Hannah was invited to choreograph a production of The Wiz at The Theatre, Leatherhead and this was when she started teaching.
Hannah has been working for Star Steppers since 2006. Prior to this, Hannah taught for Stagecoach, Virginia Parkinson’s School of Dance, Tandridge Leisure Limited. Hannah works with a number of schools in and around Surrey, delivering teacher training, dance classes and workshops.

Hannah teaches at Cheam, Cobham, Reigate and Caterham Star Steppers classes.

Steven Edwards

Star Steppers Teacher
Steven trained for 3 years at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts where he was nominated for the Spotlight Prize for most promising graduate.
His first acting role was in Alan Bennett’s Enjoy at Watford Palace Theatre. He went on to join The Peter Hall Company in Sir Peter Hall’s acclaimed production of Pygmalion with Tim Pigott-Smith. The following year it played at the Old Vic and later at The Hong Kong Arts Festival.
Other Theatre work includes The Russian Doll Theory; Great Expectations; Too True To Be Good and Ma Kelly Goes to the Games.
In Spring 2010 Steven appeared alongside Alison Steadman and David Troughton in a UK tour of Enjoy.
Screen work includes Silent Witness; Waking the Dead; What Makes Us Human and Amazing Grace. He is also a regular narrator of audio books and records for Oakhill, The RNIB, Harper Collins and ISIS.
Directing credits include Our History, Our Day Out and Gizmo.
Writing credits include an adaptation of A Christmas Carol, a number of plays for young people and a selection of performance poetry.
Laura Ellis

Laura trained at Elmhurst School of Dance, where she toured the UK with the Birmingham Royal Ballet, and Laine Theatre Arts, where she graduated with a Diploma in Musical Theatre.

Laura can also be heard on the London cast recording of “Memphis the Musical”.

Claire Macgarvie

Star Steppers Teacher
Claire is a professional singer who has trained in many styles of singing and dance. Claire trained at Brighton’s Institute of Modern Music and graduated with a B.A Hons Degree in Professional Musicianship in 2015. Upon graduating Claire has taught Early Stages at Stagecoach East Grinstead and leads choirs and workshops throughout sussex. Claire has taught singing privately for 5 years and alongside Alex Diepold (Pop Idol Judge) at StarVoice Training. Screen work includes: “Miss Marple and “And When Did You Last See Your Father”. Claire is currently an artist on Alive Network and frequently performs across the UK with various acts and bands. She is excited about teaching at Star steppers where she can pass on some of her experiences and techniques and share her enthusiasm for singing and performing.
Claire teaches at the Horley Star Steppers classes.
Hans Rye

Star Steppers Teacher
Theatre credits include A Spectacular Night of Queen (European Tour); Big Deal/Fight Captain in West Side Story (Kilden Performing Arts Centre); Pemberton Maxwell in Call Me Madam (Union Theatre); Buddy Rounsaville in Vote For Me (London Theatre Workshop) and Caleb Thorpe in The Spitfire Grill (Union Theatre).
Hans is also an experienced performing arts teacher and has worked for various academies in London teaching drama, singing and dance and facilitated TIE workshops and directed and choreographed shows for primary schools. He has also experience as an associate agent for a kids talent agency and work as a freelance translator besides acting and teaching.
Grace Meeking

Star Steppers Teacher
Grace trained at both The Brit School and Performers College where she gained her Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre. Whilst studying at Performers, Grace also successfully completed her DDI, ISTD Teaching Qualification in Modern Theatre.
In summer 2014 Grace travelled to America to work on a children’s summer camp as the director of dance for 2 months where she ran the dance programme at camp for girls aged 12-16 putting on numerous shows and performances throughout the summer.
Since graduating Grace has taught for a variety of schools and clubs, teaching is her passion and she loves sharing her knowledge in fun, enthusiastic and motivating classes.
