How to find us…
About Horley Star Steppers
Through dance, drama and singing, we cover a range of styles including street dance, musical theatre, jazz, improvisation, script work, solo singing as well as singing in groups and in harmony. This fun creative class is designed to keep you fit, increase confidence and make you smile!
Is there any parking available?
There is lots of parking available at the Horley Methodist Church Hall so please feel free to park there.
Is there anywhere that parents can wait during the session?
Unfortunately not but the venue is well located for a quick trip into town, where you will find a big Waitrose, complete with it’s own cafe. There is also the Horley library just up the road.
Can I stay to watch the classes?
For the first week, parents are very welcome to watch the class, however we feel it is important for the children’s development that they have room to play and experiment without an audience watching them every week. This also allows us the chance to organise watching weeks and performances without ruining the surprise for parents.
Where Star Steppers members in Horley go to school?
We have children attending from a range of local schools including Yattendon Primary, Langshott Primary, Meath Green Infant and Meath Green Junior Schools, Salfords Primary and Manorfield Primary.
Do you provide discounts for brothers and sisters?
Yes – there are sibling discounts available.
How many children do you have in each class?
We aim to keep class sizes to 20 children max.
What do they wear? Is there a uniform?
We ask that the children wear leggings or joggers with a t-shirt or vest and jazz shoes, trainers or plimsoles on their feet. There is a Star Steppers t-shirt, which they are expected to wear for shows and public performances. T-shirts are £10.00
How are fees paid?
Fees are paid in half-termly instalments of about 6-7 weeks. We send out invoices via e-mail and parents pay (preferably) online by BACS or we also accept cash or cheque.
Are there any additional costs to attend Star Steppers?
The end of term watching weeks are included in the cost of the class and usually performed in the second to last class before the end of term. Every other year we stage a Summer Show – this is £25 per child and this includes the costume, which they get to keep and helps cover the cost of props, special effects, music, lighting and sound etc. The children are also at the theatre for the best part of two days!

My daughter started Star Steppers a year ago, she was painfully shy with so little confidence especially at school.. But what an amazing difference it has made.. She recently took part in the summer show, and as a mum I couldn’t be prouder her smile said it all!! It was an honour to watch her perform with all her new friends.. And the work that goes into the show is unbelievable!! Star Steppers has taught her confidence, to smile and more importantly she has so much fun! My daughter is brighter happier and walks a lot taller since starting Star Steppers… Thank you and I look forward to many more happy years…
